Chicago Marathon - extra long!

Featured Replies

Chicago Marathon was a mile too long

LMAO. How do you screw this up?

And what about those people who didn't qualify for Boston because they screwed up? I'd be pissed.

Chicago a lot of people use to qualify for Boston because it's flat.

Was this just last year or has it been going on for a long time?

Just this year.

They changed the course at the last minute.

That's why I didn't run it this year, I knew it would be too long.

:o I am shocked that you would insinuate that... It is the 40 extra pounds that is the problem... well that and getting off of Soxtalk for 3 hours to run a race. :bang

I just read the red eye. Last year's race was a mile short!

No wonder I couldn't finish this race... I didn't prepare for that extra mile...

I don't think this is the qualifier for Boston. This is the Lakeshore Marathon on Memorial Day. The qualifier is the LaSalle Bank Marathon, usuallly run in October.

I actually did run the marathon and finished at 4:06 with the 27.2 mile course, but for 26.2 I would easily be under 4:00, my goal time.

Damn, you are the man. I can barely run two miles, let alone 26. Congrats on completing the race! :cheers
