Perhaps people who buy the tickets and then don't actually attend the game..

Kind of on the same topic: Don't the American & National Leagues figure attendance differently? If I remember right, one goes by tickets sold & one goes by the turnstiles.

Used to be this way, not anymore, its all tickets SOLD. and yes, comps DO NOT count. Only tickets actually sold
