I love this movie. I get gooseflesh when Shoeless Joe first arrives, and he's talking about the game he so misses. What a great movie.

Yep, it's an awesome movie. 4 stars IMO.

 

The Shoeless Joe part is great, but I'd say my favorite is Terrence Mann's (James Earl Jones) baseball speech near the end of the movie. Definitely speaks the truth about the greatest game ever invented.

HSC..have you seen the baseball movie "pastime"??..but your eyes would turn a little red in that one...probablty the most underrated baseball movie ever made..its in my baseball top 5

yes i have seen it.. but it doesnt turn on the water works like field of dreams does... i dont know maybe because my all time fav white sox is a key charactor.......or because ray laoitta (sp?) plays him??? whatever it is i just love that movie.........
