this is the link for the story - good stuff!

Now if someone on our team said this the Trib would run an article about how our clubhouse was blowing up and our team was in-fighting again...

The Twins have spent recent days wondering what has happened to the fire, the passion, the I'll-pick-you-up attitude that led to 42-come-from-behind victories this past season, the division title and a berth in the ALCS.

Its called the luck-o-meter is running dry :finger

Bye bye Twinkies! Now you know why Bud wanted to contract you! :nono

bottom line is they just dont have the talent..last year we way underachieved...if we can show the same heart this year that the twins showed last year we will blow them away..

It's just so much fun to see the Twinks struggle. Maybe it has something to do with everyone giving them way too much love before the season started.

Forget America's team. Find your own team.

I agree. When you're talking about a 165 game season, I think heart comes into play just about as much as talent. We had it in 2000, let's get it back for this year.

165 game season?

I hope we just play the regular 162 with no little extras to determine who gets in the playoffs -

and if we go the full limit of 19 possible post season games we will all be crazed --

Sorry - Fat finger syndrome! :bang

I respect the Twins. Yeah their players and fans trash talk s*** about the Sox, but isn't that what every team does?

They've got heart, something that I can't say about the Sox right now. I respect and admire their small-ball mentality and how they manufacture runs. But I agree..bottom line is that they don't have the talent.

Now Cubs fans...they're just completely hopless :bang

Aparrently thay don't have heart. That's what this article was all about.

Personnally, for this whole "heart" thing, I've never played a baseball game where I haven't given it my all, and tried to make the most of each and every AB. I just can't figure out how someone could give an AB away. I cherish every one I get, especially with RISP :headbang

thats because most of us dont have the talent these guys have..almost all of them are recognized early on they have a special talent and baseabll or any sport always came so easy to them...it makes it easy to lose perspective..those of us who dont have that talent and have to give it our all 100% of the time just to play understand that a little better
