I'll admit not having much knowledge around baseball, but from what I've seen with the Sox, it seems like we do much more to honor former players, even those that are not hall of fame caliber than most other teams. Also, when Bo was at KC they had the biggest star in their history, George Brett, so maybe he was overshadowed some?

My favorite Bo moment was in 1993. When the Sox clinched the AL West championship. He launched a HR to LF to give the Sox the lead in the clinching game.

That's gotta be the defining Bo Jackson White Sox moment, and also happens to be one of the first specific, in-game moments that I still remember watching.

Doesn't Bo also feel he owes something to the Sox for us giving him the chance to come back again? I think he loves the organization for believing in him back then.
