Dwayne Pollock gives up a 3 run HR in the bottom of the 9th, Barons lose 6-4.

Charlotte wins in 9-3, nice start by Arnie Munoz, Bajenaru with another save.

 

Anderson goes 3-4.

Cunningham seems like he goes 2-4 everyday in bristol nowadays.

A very difficult game the Barons Bullpen entrusted to get 9 outs couldn't do it. Josh Fields made a huge error but still a 1-1 pitch single to Assadorian who was 0-2 2K's against Tracey then 1-2 pitch homer to a weak hitting Bryan Anderson. Barons offense continues to hit very well the team AVG has to be close to the League Lead. The Fields error doesn't bother me as much as the homer because Josh made a good pick to even get the ball then rushed his throw. Sweeney power is getting more and more evident each game today he slammed a ball off the RF wall for a double. Blakely slammed a ball into into orbit tonight at least 450 to RF.

What's up with the Barons roster. Now with Gonzalez hurt and out for ??? and sending Haggerty to Winston-Salem (huh) they have 4 infielders. I guess you gotta hope no one gets hurt, so much for a utility guy. Have you heard of any moves?

This is very ironic, the very day a backup infielder is sent down your starter gets hurt so now our starter (Gray) is normally a 3B and his Defense at 2nd is not good. I wonder when the Sox's activate The Duke where will Jenks go to Charlotte already has 30+ players on it we have 21. We need a closer Pollok is a good 7th 8th guy but has really struggled in the closers role.

All year it seems the Barons have been playing short-handed. I guess I don't understand some moves that are made, ie. why Charlotte has 30+ players and W-S looks like it is loaded with middle infielders. Do you think we will get Jenks back?

Pollok...has really struggled in the closers role.

I've noticed that this year, and it surprises me b/c he was awesome in the closer's role for Winston-Salem last year.
