The Sox will wait until Monday to announce their roster move for Orlando Hernandez, who will be activated so he can pitch against Detroit.

Reliever Shingo Takatsu could be traded as soon as Monday to Arizona if the Diamondbacks can't strike a deal with Pittsburgh. If Takatsu stays, the Sox may elect to option rookie pitcher Bobby Jenks to Triple-A Charlotte to make room for Hernandez.

Joe Crede's lower back problems might sway the Sox toward keeping infielder Willie Harris on the 25-man roster and optioning first baseman-outfielder Ross Gload to Triple-A Charlotte. A decision must be made Monday on Gload, who completed a 20-day rehab assignment Sunday with the Knights, batting .375

The largest newspaper in Chicago.

Unfortunately they own the Cubs, and print the wrong pictures along with captions of reputed mobsters, but it's the best we've got around here.

Well, at least they're not saying we'll be clearing roster spots by dumping half of our team on Florida. That's something of a relief.

In that supposedly done deal, we'd be trading away two major leaguers and getting back three. Which is another reason I doubt the credibility of that deal as reported. We don't have the roster flexibility at this point as we can't seem to make room for Gload.
