Sonik22
This one is great. Cubs release Prior and Wood’s disabled list schedules for the remainder of the season The Chicago Cubs released the schedule today for when ace starters Mark Prior and Kerry Wood will be on the disabled list for the remainder of the season. Prior, who is currently on the DL with a sore elbow, will return to action for his first start on April 12, upon which Kerry Wood will go down with a shoulder injury through the end of the month. After returning in early May, Wood will re-injure his shoulder while throwing a wild pitch that strikes Prior in the dugout, and both will be placed on the 60-day disabled list. Prior and Wood will return to action in mid-July, however, a period the Cubs are heavily promoting as: “Ohmigod! They’re Both Healthy Days at Wrigley Field.” After three weeks, however, Prior will head back to the designated list for good with an Achilles injury, and Wood will be shelved for the season in late August with more elbow problems. “We thought it was easier to go ahead and announce all of their injuries now before the season really gets going so we could prepare to work around it,” said Cubs general manager Jim Hendry. “We’re very excited to know that we'll have both of them give us almost 10 starts each this year.”
