Unless I'm sick or at sea for my job (no alcohol on Federally funded vessels :crying), I'll drink a beer or two every evening, and a little more on weekends.  If I have to be productive I'll drink lower alcohol offerings.

A day without beer is like a day without... beer.  And that is a sad thing.

AMEN! Drinking beer while watching our first place White Sox is heavenly.

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.  That stuff is amazing.

Otherwise is it Warsteiner or PBR.

eewwww. Sam makes some fine beers (even if Jim Koch is a prick), but that Cheery wheat maks my stomach churn. :puke

That and their cranbery "lambic" were probable their least palatable offerings, other than their lite beers which suck by definition.

So how often do you guys actually drink???

I might have a beer every other day or so. Usually two on Friday and Saturday. I rarely drink to get drunk, that is reserved for special occasions. I might end up the evening with a buzz, but even that is a rarity. It isn't about getting drunk, but all about enjoying the taste. Once you lose the ability to enjoy what is going in your mouth, you have to switch or quit the drinking.

Jim, if I can still get ahold of some Best I will trade with you.

That will occur tomorrow nite at The Lantern, downtown Napreville. For whatever reason the Budweiser on draft there is terrific ... squeaky clean beer lines. Great burgers, chili, and Terry the Sox fan waitress. I have got the wife saying, "The Lantern sounds good, want to go there?" :D

Good work. My wife a Colorado Native is also rooting for and watching the White Sox with me regularly. It's a beautiful thing.

Deal. :cheers

the Triple Bock is really a strange bird, as the soy sauce/prune juice comparisons probably indicate. It has no carbonation which gives it a thick, syrupy mouthfeel that is not very beer like. But since you are a BIG beer person, you need to try it to compare to Samischlaus, EKU, Hardy (the Eldrige and Pope vontages are still among my favorite beers ever), and the other big guns.

I really liked Labatt Dry but I've never seen it in the U.S.

It was here when dry beers were all the rage. Then Labatt's Ice was popular when ice beers were all the rage.

I'm still waiting for the day when good beers are all the rage. :cheers
