Around the time that the new ballpark opened up there was a printing of T-shirts in successive years that chronicled the White Sox disdain for our neighbors to the north. This was way back when David Letterman was host of Late Night on NBC. The front of the shirt had the yellow and blue logo that said “Late Night with the South Siders.” On the back was the top tens reasons why cub fans are losers. This shirt was so popular that the next year They created eleven more reasons why cub fans are losers. I had this shirt and have since out-grown it and am curious if anyone else remembers the full list of reasons. The ones I remember are: “glue posters of Ryne Sandberg to the bedroom ceilings” and “consider Ron Santo a legend.” Since Bo Jackson was with the team and the “Bo Knows” series of commercials from Nike had just finished a successful run, the number one reason was “Bo knows that they’re losers.” Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
