August 30, 200520 yr We close in Cleveland. I'm assuming that we would have clinched first long before that -- but Cleveland could still be in the running for the wild card. The same weekend the Yankees play the Red Sox. (The A's and the Angels will not be playing each other.) Our series could have a huge impact on whom we play in the first round of the playoffs. Eliminate Cleveland, you get the wild card in all likelihood as your opponent. Lose to Cleveland, maybe they get the wild card and we get the winner of the West. I'm just saying that this could get real interesting.
August 30, 200520 yr We don't match up very well with the Indians now. Millwood and C.C. have our number. I'd rather play the Yankees than the Indians. Of course, there's a decent chance that last series of the year could be for the AL Central pennant.

Their hitters underperformed for almost the entire first half. How many games did we beat them like 2-1 or 1-0? I think we match up better against the Angels personally.
