Three things I have learned this season...

Featured Replies

1) This is our year. We need to take advantage now. The Indians are going to be VERY good for a long time. The Yanks and BoSox are struggling. This may be our best chance in a long time.

2) Billy Beane really does know what he's doing. Look at the A's. They trade Hudson and Mulder and don't miss a beat. As much as Hawk may hate to admit it, the man knows what he's doing.

3) Scott Podsednik is not very good. Now believe me, I love Pods, but he really has not been as good as we all made him out to be. He has one tool: speed. His speed is VERY VERY GOOD, but not great. His lack of power allows defenses to key in on him and cheat. His defense is not very good, either. However, he is still a good lead-off man, and I am glad we have him, AND I understand that trading El Caballo for him was necessary, because along with him, we got AJ, Tad, and El Duque. BUT he's not that great!

That's just my $ .02. Take it for what it's worth.

Nicely done. Let me add a few thoughts of my own:

- Neal Cotts has improved more from one season to the next than any pitcher I can remember in a long time.

- The best move KW has made in the last year for the long-term future of this organization was claiming Bobby Jenks.

- Baseball announcers need to check their ego at the door.

- Dusty Baker should not have a job.

No he hasn't, but his speed is almost as good as it comes when he is healthy.

HAWK RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Hawk should quit; he's becoming senile and doesn't know a damn thing about what he's talking about. Keep wondering where Griffey would play old man, just do that at your house.

-Ozzie really can't manage a game. As I said before, he would make a great bench coach since he's a great motivator and knows how to get the best out of his players. He, however, can't manage pitching for a lick and some of the lineups he throws out there makes me feel like he's talking managing lessons from Hawk. He also needs to stop with his infatuation of Timo. He's overplaying him.

-Hitting alone may get you nowhere, but it sure as hell helps to win. We need lots of it back. KW better make some moves for some offensive firepower. I'm not talking about just one bat either.

-Brewers have a nice future if they keep everything together.

-Billy Beane, sadly, is a true genius.

-This team is not ready to win a championship.
