September 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) You can't rank a draft after half a season. I'd mostly agree, but I know a lot of people around here last year back-slapping each other about how well the Sox did in 2004. Can anyone think of a player from the 2005 Sox draft class that had the kind of debut Gio did last year? No one really stood out, and some of the top picks kind of stumbled, with Broadway leading the way (I know he was overused, etc.).

I think that the guys from that draft who people who are still looking at are Whistler, Lumsen, Liotta, Russell, Fields, and Lucy. I'm sure there's a couple others I'm missing, but when I say "look at", I don't necessarily mean they had good seasons/are considered good prospects, just that people... I don't know, still 'like' (for lack of a better word) them. But yeah, if no one besides Liotta or Gio can step up and have a good season next year, that draft might look pretty ugly.
