September 26, 200520 yr This is a great idea and long past due...The NBA had to implement a 'minor-league' system. The current set up was dumb, and for the most part left unused by the NBA teams. It was also a shame watching first and second round draft picks rot on NBA benches.
September 26, 200520 yr the nba is so far behind in terms of its minor league development, its sickening. the nbdl is supposed to emulate the nba in terms of play, but I just don't see that happening considering all of the teams will be filled with guards and small forwards.
September 27, 200520 yr Love this idea, should have happenned earlier, but NBA is wasting time dumping money into the WNBA, which ratins and attendance is stagnating or decreasing... hopefully some of the stories of the 18 year olds who don't want to go to college will have a chance to develop in a meaningful way, not rot on a bench

Do you know how many tall dopey white guys are floating around? They will have no problem filling up centers and power forwards.
September 27, 200520 yr Nick Smith thinks he is a guard though and plays like he has mittens on. Does he count?

They will have no problem filling up centers and power forwards. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> how many tall dopey white guys got drafted in the last two seasons, signed a contract with an NBA team, and would be eligible to play in the league? There are plenty out there, but they aren't going to play for chump change that wouldn't even compare to what they'd get overseas. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The league will be flooded with guards and small forwards.
