Don't know if you guys and gals caught it, but it happened on Loftons triple later in the game when it was becoming a blowout.

 

That was quite the moment at the plate, but damn was that kid all cute. That was a great moment for baseball if you ask me. The kid giving Snow the high five after everything. I liked how he ran out and put his helmet back on. I thought it was hillarious.

 

Good thing Snow picked him up cause that could of been bad.

 

I have to say though, its things like that were pretty cool. I always hated Snow, but after that I got a little more respect for him, and that clubhouse must be pretty cool with all the players getting to bring their sons and stuff.

I wasn't watching in disgust over what happened. So can you explain what happened with the little runt, and why he didn't get run over?

He was walking out to the plate after Snow came in to score and while crossing hte plate Snow grabbed him mid run and picked him up because another runner was barrilingy in right behind him.

 

When picking him up, Bakers son lost his helmet. Baker had his head down as he was all worried. Then Snow talked to him and was all cool with him and little baker ran back, picked his helmet up, put it on, and then ran over and picked the bat back up. Then walked into the dugout where he and Snow gave eachother the high five and everything.

 

I don't know, It was just something u don't see usually at a sporting event.

 

I mean, could you imagine this happening in the NFL with Rae Carruths and Ray Lewis's out their.

It wouldn't happen. You wouldn't see kids on the sidelines. Baseball has dugouts, and there is a lot of 'down time'. Well, actually some kids are on the sidelines fetching the kicking stand.

Good point, they really are out their in the line of fire in the NFL cause players constantly come diving out into the sidelines.

Yeah, sometimes during the pre-season or something you'll see some kids out there. Most of the time its' in baseball only.

and you'd never see it in basketball. For god sakes, with all the Shawn Kemps out their the entire arena would be filled will all the players illegitimate kids.

Yeah, they'd have to have a special section of the arena cornered off.

i saw the grabing of the kid and i would have to agree that that was a great moment in baseball

Sorry I missed it.That was the 8th inning,I believe.I went to sleep after the 7th.Can Fux (I mean Fox) show more stupid,boring assinine commercials for "Boston Pubic" or "The Bernie Mac Show"??

I don't know if it's unprofessional to have them in the dugout, but you have to think about safety. Not only the Darren Baker thing, being near home plate, but foul balls or broken bats. Little kids don't have the strength or reflexes to react. Plus you can imagine the conversations that go on.

 

Also, I think we can all do without the makeout sessions at home plate. What the hell was that? Dunston leaned in and got some serious tongue from his kid.

 

Then after the game Fox kept cutting to the Giants dugout with all the kids crying etc, cheesy and classless on their part.

I actually liked seeing the players kids on the bench, it lightened it up for me a bit.

 

Just my opinion though. I do think that at a workplace you need to keep it professional.

The Sox had a kid in their dugout all season, his name was K-layton.

 

However, he wasn't as cute as Dusty's son.

1 kid, I can deal with. But everytime they showed the Giants dugout, there were more kids in the picture than players or managers! It seemed like they were multiplying between camera shots. Get the kids out of the dugout! Hey look, people on the Angels had kids too. Were they in the dugout? NO! They were in the stands or someplace else with their families like they should be!

 

And then the morons from Fox had to keep showing that stupid ass Baker kid, Darren I think, crying after the game. I don't need to see that crap.
