October 7, 200520 yr I know I posted something on this when it was first being put into place, but I'm not going to be able to bump that thread at the moment. Here's the finished project: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...1069/SPORTS0601 IU scoreboard is up A new 26,000-pound scoreboard is now hanging over the basketball court in Indiana University's Assembly Hall. The scoreboard includes high-definition television screens, smaller screens for game statistics and a circular screen for advertising and other graphics. The scoreboard might not be in operation for the Oct. 14 public scrimmage to open basketball practice, but it will be ready for the Hoosiers' home opener Nov. 4, said Jack Garrett, IU's associate athletic director for facilities and student services. The 28-by-20-foot scoreboard hangs 27 above off the court, Garrett said. Fans in the 17,456-seat arena will have a better view of the new scoreboard. It should make those sitting in the corner seats who complained about not seeing the score happier, athletic department spokesman Aaron Jordan said. The school expects to bring in $250,000 a year of advertising revenue with the scoreboard, which cost about $2 million.
October 7, 200520 yr Very nice indeed. Now they need the team to start living up to their end of the bargain.
October 7, 200520 yr That one looks real sweet. It's about time they got something that could show pts and fouls on it.
