Attention: National Media

We here on the Southside of Chicago are quiet folk and I think this needs to be said.

Please, as a White Sox fan, I ask you to go back to your self, ole negative media that we have all come to know and love.

To your dismay, we are not America's team. It's more like a select few South Chicago City's team.

There is no White Sox nation. It's more like a White Sox village.

There are no cute storylines here. Instead, we're a franchise about destroying disco and throwing World Series. That's the only lore you will find here.

And most importantly of all, we are not cursed. Instead, we have just fielded a helluva lot of bad teams these last 88 years. Joe Jackson didn't curse us. Black cats didn't curse us. And I'm sure as hell Babe Ruth didn't curse us.

Now please, let us celebrate in peace.

Sincerly,

A Concerned White Sox fan
