May 13, 200322 yr I've been noticing this too. Karim Abdul Jabbar may get a coaching job, at my school, Cal State Fullerton. Who knows if it happens though. Personally I think it would be a good hire.
May 13, 200322 yr Author I had no idea Kareem was interested in Cal State Fullerton. Does UCLA have a coach yet? Wouldn't Kareem be perfect there? I bet he will be a great coach and if CS-F gets him, they will be lucky. But he will be gone in a few years to a bigger name school.
May 13, 200322 yr UCLA got their guy in Ben Howland (From Pitt) and they hired away Cal State Fullerton's head coach to join UCLA's staff. Jabaar has been blackballed from coaching pretty much because of his rep as a pot smoker back in the days. I just figure with the 4th ranked baseball team in the country its about damn time Fullerton had a basketball program (Bruce Bowen of the Spurs is from Fullerton). Still, I am just looking forward till when I transfer to Stanford (Or at least hope to) and then I can be at a school that is good at all sports as well as helping me get an education.
