So far, he has pitched 20.1 innings (tops in the league), while giving up 21 hits, 7 walks and 10 strikeouts. He has an ERA of 2.21 and 2-1. Glad to see our knuckler doing well.

Like the era but he is giving up a lot of hits so far it seems? Was he like that during the regular season 2?

Haeger will surrender the hits but as long he keeps them to singles and control's the walks he will be fine

Begs the question:

 

Does a knuckleballer really have a future in this organization? Last time I checked, we don't exactly play in Turner Field.

Tim Wakefield pitches in a pretty good hitters park, too.

 

Either way, it's going to be fun watching Haeger for the next year or two. He might not make it, but it'd be pretty cool to have a good knuckler on the staff. Then again, I'm a sucker for the crazy motions/odd pitches, as shown by my sig...
