October 27, 200520 yr My initial reaction was the same as Konerko's...I looked at the umpire and saw him begin to rear back with his right arm and then I put both arms forward and said a quiet "Yes" as my wife was sleeping it the other room (Yankees Fan...she's from NY and we live in NY). I then proceeded to jump up and down in slow motion...again very quietly...adding to the whole surreal effect as if I were in a dream and couldn't talk or move in regular speed. Then I called/ sent text messages to all my ChiSox friends in Chicago who were out celebrating. Unreeaaaaallllll!
