I think the best thing to do, is keep everyone possible and upgrade any small amounts (see trade deadline - geoff blum)

D. Marte (i duno what he does for us... we got an amazing bullpen)

Carl Evertt (old, he did good this year for us, but were does he play when frank comes back? and all that..)

Orlando Hernadez (does he want to be on the bench? how old is he?)

Okay, your opinion.  I still say Renteria is a better player who had a bad year.  And no chance were Roberts and Cabrera the difference there, it was all the pitching.  Sentiment doesn't get outs.

 

Yup -- pretty hard to win when your best starting pitcher has an ERA+ of 106. They didn't have another starter who was above 100 -- that's pretty bad.

 

Not to mention the bullpen...
