sox books

Featured Replies

in addition to the highly talked about SI commemorative book, I have found that the Tribune, Sun times, Sporting News and possibly others are coming out with thier own sox commemorative books.

the huge one down on fourth st?? thats a nice store, Ive got to know Louisville quite well over the past year, great great town. Went down there for the Derby last year to visit a good good friend, and have been down there 4 times since going to shows at the Palace, UK Big Blue Mandess, amongest other things. Lousiville Slugger factory is sweet, and I highly reccomend the tour to any hardcore baseball fan. I gotta go back now so I can see all the World Champion White Sox bats on the wall. They need a Rally Crede exhibit. I find it funny that a lot of people that live there dog the town, but I gotta admit, the nightlife and people :bringit Even somewhat converted a diehard Yankee fan into a WhiteSox fan by kinapping her from ville and took her to a couple games this year. Talking to the people down there, the ville would absolutely kill for a pro baseball team.... I dont blame them, I'd hate to be forced to like the Reds.

btw, the Tribune one is 12.95 and can order by calling

1800 222-4657 shipping and handeling is $6.00

or it can be found in reatil outlets around Chicagoland.

Not a big enough market for a pro baseball team.

If they ever get a pro sports team here, it'll be the NBA.

Pretty good town, lived here my whole life, but I'd rather be in Chicago, no doubt.

It wasn't the Barnes and Noble downtown, by the way. And yes, the Louisville Slugger museum is outstanding.

I gotta get me some of those.

Can you comment on them individually and give some insight on what each offers?

Is there one that stands out?

There's one inside of the Loop DePaul so i have to go check 'em out.

For us out of towners who do not have the privilege to see them in the store/s before buying them, which is the best one?

hey guys, one of the best places to get these books is actually Dominick's. ive been to a few out this way, and right in the entrance they have a sox headquarters with ALL the books you need...

i bought the SI, trib, and two others there on Saturday.

Does the Trib book come in a hardcover? I checked on Amazon and they only show a paperback version.

I'd say the Trib book is the best. I don't have much time right now to run through all of them but the Trib book is a collection of 120 pictures from throughout the year and stories that accompany them.

Yeah right...

SI is done with the white sox...Here's their cover on the first magazine after we won the World Series. Yep, that's the sox up there in the top right corner.

For the Chicago locals, Dominicks and Jewel are good places to get them. I got them as soon as they were delivered (by luck). They were sitting there in the boxes in front of the mag rack and I had to tear off the plastic wrap. I got the one from the Trib, SI and one called Gold Collection. Just based on graphics and construction, the Trib one is the best by far.

Trib book
