I figured we'd strand a few, all those hits with two outs, not much room for error.

Hawkins just whiffed Ordonez to end the inning.

If Hunter doesn't make that catch, we probably have a 4 run lead, but things happen and all you can do is tip your cap.

4 hits in an inning and only 1 run - something very not right about that

7 hits total - not that good

leaving bases loaded when we need one to tie - not going to win many games that way

These are the plays that ruin the Sox.

The Twins make catches to save runs, while the Sox make plays like this. Now that was a crappy play by Jimenez. Not a good throw either, and I thought we had a play at 2nd (well they would of if Wunsch doesn't have to go into his damn windup to throw to first).

Jones hits solid right field single off of Kelly Wunsch (his 2nd hit given up of the season)

Kelly throws the ball away on a Guzman bunt - sac with E on Kelly Wunsch, runners at 2nd and 3rd with 0 out (Rios played good back up to keep Jones from scoring)

Koskie sac to CLee and Jones scores, 3-1 ballgame, CLeee does hold Guzman at 2nd

Kielty Ks on Wunsch breaking ball

Manuel to mound; Wunsch comes out, Koch comes in

1 out in 8th, 3-1 bad guys

Crede takes out Twin batter (name missed) end of 8th

Your problably right Vince. It was an error on Wunsch, but Jimenez could of made the play. That being said, the play looks much easier then it is. I know when I played first the thing I hated most is when the pitcher would throw the ball cause they'd always throw curves or some other pitch and they would throw into the runner meaning you were going to get drilled if you couldn't make the catch and get the hell out of the way.

Wunsch gives up his first earned run, Koch comes in to pitch with two outs and man on second and gets Hunter out.

Lee, Rios, Konerko due up in the 9th. It'll take nothing short of a miracle.

Jon Garland definately did his job today, our offense nowhere to be found.

Too bad the Sox have given up two unearned runs while Hunter saved two runs. These are the type of games the Sox must learn how to win.

That was a nice play by Crede to end the inning.

Rally Time Now or Never! Lets Do it!

Guardado in to pitch

CLee (2-3, robbed of HR by Hunter) hits way deep to center but easy catch, 1 out

Graf in to pitch hit for Rios

unhappy Sox fans shown on tv

Graf K, dropped third strike, thrown out, 2 down

PK our last hope, 1-3 tonight: pops out to 1st and that is it

Sox lose! :o Who woulda seen it coming

-Lee belts one to the track in dead center

-Graffy strikes out and looked ugly. He swung at one high and outside and then whiffed at a pitch in the dirt

-Konerko flew out to the first baseman

The Sox spoil and excellenty pitched game by Jon Garland. This is the reason I'm still very high on Garland. I also know that great pitching beats great hitting the majority of the time. The key is, once the Sox develop this great pitching they need to keep it, and have great defensive players around them. Jose Valentin doesn't cut it out there defensively. They need to minimize the errors and get guys that can make plays. Crede stays, Jimenez is avg, Konerko is avg, Maggs is good, Lee is avg, and in center we need help while behind the plate we got a special kid.

Defense is better then before, but some more minor changes are still out there.

Garland showed he had some balls tonight. Too bad our offense and defense didn't do s*** to support him.
