Both Pete Carroll and Mack Brown coached at Iowa State?

Interesting pointless nostalgia.....who are some other coaches that schools had at one time and never realized what they'd lead to....?

Carroll was a secondary coach in '78, Brown was the O-Coordinator from 79-81.....the years may be off by a bit, but that's freaky.

And before Cheat says anything, yes, I'm aware of the horde of them from Iowa City.

And here I thought this thread was going to be some reason why the Bears won't do anything in the playoffs. I'm disappointed Alex. :P

there's a reason they're not in l'ames anymore...because it sucks.

here's another piece of interesting information for you- the greatest wrestling coach, probably the greatest coach in the history of any sport, went to iowa state but took the iowa job and never left.

It was just a thread to see where some head coaches got their start, at schools that wouldn't be expected. There was a topic on this at YoCo College Hoops, so I thought it'd be an interesting topic.

L'ames, though. That's a good one. :chair

Both Bill Parcels and Romeo Crennel were on the defensive staff at Texas Tech from 75-77.
