November 18, 200520 yr Paulie, Count, Pods, and now Ozzie. Nice to get some recognition. They all deserve it.
November 18, 200520 yr QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) eh, he's the biggest long shot...i like my sportsman's to have played. Actually, I'd say he has the best shot out of all of them. The guy is the face of the franchise, and from an outsiders perspective, when it comes to the White Sox, Ozzie is the story. Personally, I think they're all deserving.

November 18, 200520 yr Rally Crede's nomination soon to follow no doubt..... good ole veterans comittee comes through in the clutch.
November 18, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) Could have saved a lot of time just naming "The Sox" as one nomination. It's looking like that would have been easier.

December 5, 200520 yr 4 nominees and nothing. Apparently, it pays to be an east coast darling. 2005 SI Sportsman of the Year: Tom Brady Can't say I'm shocked.
December 5, 200520 yr His career accomplishments when put next to all-time greats like Montana are undeniably impressive, but Sportsman of the Year isn't a career achievement award. Eh well, he didn't win the Commissioner's trophy, so I can't say I really care.
