If you are Texas & the Marlins mention Beckett ... you begin drooling. This guy has all the makings of a dominant Cy Young pitcher if a team can get the blisters under control. Getting out of Miami could help that.

No.  I think most of us besides SSH and Soxpranos hate the idea.

I didn't read most of the massive JUAN PIERRE thread so I wasn't sure of the overall consensus feeling toward Pierre.

Ummm, dont you think we are getting a bit ripped off there?  We are getting a minor leaguer who hasnt proven a thing and a player who is going to be a FA and really had an off year.

 

The Rangers get a WS MVP and a starting player, the marlins get one of the best LH pitchers available at a good price, a top tier starting CF'er and an all-star GG caliber 3B who mashes the ball, and a prospect?  I hope your xbox didnt fry when you input this trade.

yeah but to get rid of blisters, beckett has to hold to ball differently, which could f*** his pitches all up. who gets constant blisters, anyway?
