What do you all think?

I said it in August and got laughed at, but I will say it again... $90-100 million.

I would say about a 20% increase from last year which is not that bad considering the WS win and the inflated contracts this offseason:

2005 - $75,178,000

20% = $15 million increase to about $90 million

You were right. I'm picked that as my choice in this thread. I honestly thought we would max out at 90 if we were lucky.

The Vazquez deal only adds $1.5 to the payroll for 2006.

He is due $11.5 in 2006 but the D-backs are picking up $8 million total ($4 mill per yr), so the Sox will pay $7.5 for him.

El Duque was owed $4.625 for 2006 and Vizcaino was due at least $1.3. So their totals would be right around $6 million.

Overall a net increase of $1.5 million is not bad at all.

I'm going with 92.5 Million. For no real reason.

I calculated the payroll with Vaz and we are at $91.2 million. WOW.

Where are we now? Before arb. numbers and resigning AJ?

Probably $92M. Once Garland gets a raise, AJ signs an extension, and Crede and the rest get raises it will be around that.
