Spring training is already long and the drills and schedule are in place for pitchers and catchers. Maybe Jim is going to be the backup to the backup to the backup catcher I just don't think it is all that earth shattering. I do agree it is a lot better than the opposite and reinstills the image of a great team player.

Different players do this all the time but like you said, having it the other way would definitely not be a good thing.
