Soxplosion
Earlier this year we shook up the lineup a bit and it seemed to jumpstart this offense somewhat. But then Manuel, in all his genius, changed it back and the offense went back to hell! So I propose a new lineup, and here it is: Lee LF (he is the fastest guy on the team and he gets on base very well) Olivo C (also pretty fast and he can bunt decently) Ordonez RF (best all around hitter on the team) Thomas DH (hits for power but has lost his BA) Konerko 1B Crede 3B Valentin SS Borchard/Rios/Rowand/Harris CF Jiminez 2B If Alomar is playing, heres the lineup: Lee LF Valentin SS Ordonez RF Thomas DH Konerko 1B Crede 3B Alomar C Borchard/Rios/Rowand/Harris CF Jiminez 2B Dont even bother asking. I have indeed gone completely insane...
beebeerichards
If we combine all those center fielders together at the same time we would actually have a center fielder with a 300 ave.
Cerbaho-WG
Lee LF (he is the fastest guy on the team and he gets on base very well) Lee has a .308 OBP. Thank God you're not the manager.

JTC2784
JohnJeter had a nice little top of the lineup set (on the WXing board) for GIDPaul Konerko to turn triple plays regularly... don't know if he'd care to post it again.
witesoxfan
f*** that....CLee is not fast. If I had to propose a lineup....it would look something like this... Olivo - C Ordonez - RF Thomas - DH Lee - LF Borchard - CF Konerko - 1B Valentin - SS Crede - 3B Jimenez - 2B Just to f*** a bunch of s*** up, I guess. Also....you have the fastest person on the team leading off.
BridgeportHeather
Lee shouldn't be leading off, that's for sure. He looked pretty good when he hit in the 2-hole in, I believe, 2001. I believe that Graffy should be played more than Jiminez at this point. Considering that Alomar will get the most playing time at the 2, here's my lineup... Graffanino Lee Frank Ordonez Paulie Valentin Crede Borchard (considering he stays up here even after Willie Harris leaves the DL) Alomar
JohnJeter
You bat an Jimenez first and a Thomas second, followed by Konerko in that key #3 hole, and you got yourselves your bunch of 5-4-3 inning enders. Generate some excitement out there.

greg775
Could Olivo lead off? that is intriguing. Lee's too slow, but I liked your lineup except for Lee

His OBP is questionable at like .300....but if he was told his job is to get on base....I'm sure it would increase.

But Olivo at leadoff and Maggs at second is kinda intriguing. What about Maggs leading off? OK, bad plan, forget I ever said that...
Chisoxfn
I disagree with Olivo being the fastest. I think Borchard is the fastest on the team. From what I've heard he isn't much slower then Willie Harris. Which is why I'd really like to see the Sox let him run a whole heck of a lot. whitesox247
I would have to stick with DLo leading off. Say what you will about him, but hes been getting onbase, and thats a fact. Olivo cant lead off, he has the speed but imo I cant see him getting on base often. Its way too much pressure to put on him (especially being a catcher) to leadoff games. But dont get me wrong, I strongly believe we need to acquire ourselves a leadoff hitter. I just think DLo is the best choice with what we have. Molto
all depends what you consider a leadoff hitter. would you rather have leadoff hitter a guy who takes pitches and gets on base? or one with more speed and better base-stealing skills? I think Jimenez is a PERFECT leadoff man if you have speed around him, because the sox have no speed, his one weakness (speed) is exploited.
