May 24, 200322 yr Lee shouldn't be leading off, that's for sure. He looked pretty good when he hit in the 2-hole in, I believe, 2001. I believe that Graffy should be played more than Jiminez at this point. Considering that Alomar will get the most playing time at the 2, here's my lineup... Graffanino Lee Frank Ordonez Paulie Valentin Crede Borchard (considering he stays up here even after Willie Harris leaves the DL) Alomar

But Olivo at leadoff and Maggs at second is kinda intriguing. What about Maggs leading off? OK, bad plan, forget I ever said that...
May 24, 200322 yr I disagree with Olivo being the fastest. I think Borchard is the fastest on the team. From what I've heard he isn't much slower then Willie Harris. Which is why I'd really like to see the Sox let him run a whole heck of a lot.
May 25, 200322 yr I would have to stick with DLo leading off. Say what you will about him, but hes been getting onbase, and thats a fact. Olivo cant lead off, he has the speed but imo I cant see him getting on base often. Its way too much pressure to put on him (especially being a catcher) to leadoff games. But dont get me wrong, I strongly believe we need to acquire ourselves a leadoff hitter. I just think DLo is the best choice with what we have.
May 25, 200322 yr all depends what you consider a leadoff hitter. would you rather have leadoff hitter a guy who takes pitches and gets on base? or one with more speed and better base-stealing skills? I think Jimenez is a PERFECT leadoff man if you have speed around him, because the sox have no speed, his one weakness (speed) is exploited.
