Pregame music question

Featured Replies

Hey I was wondering about a song. The song that is played in the background as the highlights of the Sox past and present are shown before the players run onto the field to "thunderstruck"....yeah I was wondering if anybody knew the artist who did that song and what the title of the song is. Thanks.

Something about pirates. No one really knows because this is a rare question indeed.

"He's a (butt) Pirate"

It's a song about Johnny Depp or something.

The song is called He's a pirate. Its by Hanz someting or other..just google the soundtrak to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Hanz Zimmer, though the song is officially credited to Klaus Badelt i think. Hanz was the Score producer for the movie.

Klaus Bedalt is Hans Zimmer's protoge. It was Bedalt's composition, but Zimmer's had his hands in it.

And the reel music they used is a combo of "He's a Pirate" and bits of one or two other tracks on the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack laced together. Nice edit, actually.

Unfortunately, the Sox Pride DVD has the highlight reel but different music.
