Defence Minister Gordon O'Connor says he's willing to re-open the debate on ballistic missile defence.

The former Liberal government seemed ready to join the American plan, then changed course and said no.

 

The NDP and the Bloc Quebecois also oppose the missile scheme, suggesting that the opposition could easily unite in the Commons and defeat any government proposal to take part in the program.
