March 24, 200620 yr More from Kenny (no not that Kenny); For all you need to know about the scarcity of left-handed relievers, consider the unlikely ascent of White Sox lefty Boone Logan, who spent last season at Class A. The White Sox promoted Logan to their major-league camp after he struck out Jim Thome and Rob Mackowiak in an intrasquad game. Logan, who throws 91 mph with a low, three-quarters delivery, is now a leading candidate to make the club. White Sox GM Ken Williams says Rob Mackowiak should get at least 400 at-bats in a "semi-regular" role. Mackowiak could spell third baseman Joe Crede against tough right-handers; Crede had a .292 on-base percentage against righties last season. Another option against righties would be to use Alex Cintron, a switch-hitter, in place of Crede and Mackowiak in place of rookie center fielder Brian Anderson.
March 24, 200620 yr i think that mack and cintron will be a huge + for us this year... even more so then even i expect.
