April 10, 200619 yr He looked good the last week in ST when he started getting some AB's, although a lot of that came from minor league pitchers. I think he'll snap out of it in Detroit. Slumps hit players at different times. He's putting wood on the ball, relax. He's not lost up there.

April 10, 200619 yr Pods problem is he must be 100 percent healthy to be able to run at full strength, and he must be able to run at full strength to be a good baseball player. Without speed, Pods is a terrible baseball player with no noticeable legit MLB skill. Combine that with the fact he was in and out of the lineup and his swing is off, and you have what you saw this week.
April 10, 200619 yr There are a lot of players struggling out of the gate. Pods had the groin injury and shoulder injury, so I am sure he will come around. Hell Ichiro is 0 for his last 13 ABs and is batting .200 on the season.
