April 15, 200619 yr I know it is early in the season, but I cannot remember a time where the Sox had no players batting in the .200s. There are 8 players batting .313 or higher, and 6 players batting .167 or lower. A .146 point separation between 8 and 9. Has Ozzie used a lineup with the top 8 in at the same time? Last night it was 7 + Widger and Anderson. Ozuna .455 Cintron .400 Thome .344 Konerko .341 Crede .333 Dye .320 Iguchi .314 Pierzynski .313 ------------ Uribe .167 Mackowiak .158 Anderson .129 Podsednik .059 Gload .000 Widger .000 Also, an word on Uribe? Cintron has played the last 2 games at SS (5-10, 3RBI).
April 15, 200619 yr Uribe's got a minor thigh injury at the moment. Ozzie wants to make sure he's 100% before he's back out there. And with the way Cintron has been hitting, the team hasn't missed a beat.

Ozuna--LF Iguchi--2B Thome--DH PK--1B Dye--RF Crede--3B AJ--C Cintron--SS Anderson/Mack--CF Thats not that bad of a lineup if you ask me. Its basicly the same that we all ways have
April 15, 200619 yr Something else that is odd: I could be wrong but I think that every game the Sox won, the Yankees have won this year. Same with losses. And these are the 2 teams with the best odds to win it all according to the Mirage in Vegas (pre-season odds).

I guess we will split the season series with them.

April 16, 200619 yr Has anyone noticed that throughout the league there seem to be about maybe 5 batters actually struggling? This has been an incredibly offense-minded season thus far.

I get your point though, offenses seem to be more alive this year.

And you expect with the colder weather, that the pitching would usually be on top at this time of year.
