I know I'm a day late, but the penalty kill that San Jose put in on that 5-on-3 was, without a doubt, the best PK I've ever seen. For those that didn't see, Edmonton had a 1:50 5-on-3 power play. The puck was kept in the offensive zone the whole time. With about :50 seconds left, two San Jose players break their sticks. Essentially, at this point, it's a 5-on-1.5, as the only two San Jose players with sticks are the goalie and one of the defenders. The Sharks' player -- I forgot who -- ends up diving for a lose puck and gloving it out of the zone. Of course, the Oilers scored about a minute later, but it was still one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
May 10, 200619 yr I just saw the clips from the Canes game and DAMN I wished I could have seen that game. I got chills just watching the clips, I can only imagine how much screaming, yelling and jumping up and down I would have done.

May 11, 200619 yr Canes up 3-0; Sens down 3-0. About the complete opposite of what I was thinking was going to happen (I was hoping for 3-0 for the Canes, just wasn't sure if that was going to happen).
May 11, 200619 yr Canes 3-0 doesn't surprise me a bit, I thought the Devils were due to really cool off, plus the Canes are really hitting stride right now. As for Sens down 3-0....I enjoy watching the Sabres, but for them to figure out a way to be up 3-0 right now shocks me.

May 18, 200619 yr The atmosphere at Rexall tonight -- on TV -- looked absolutely amazing. These folks are loud THE ENTIRE GAME. Even during the dry parts of the game, you can still hear the "Let's Go Oilers" chant in the background. What a series. That was awesome, and Edmonton will go on to play Anahiem. Playoff hockey is the best.
May 18, 200619 yr I am nervous about the Canes' upcoming series. I just do not know what to expect. If they play their game, they will be fine. I just hope the officiating shapes up. It's not so much as they are "against" the Canes, just very inconsistant overall.
May 20, 200619 yr The one (and almost only) thing I can take out of today's game is that as badly as they played, Buffalo only managed one more goal. If they come out and play their game Monday, they will win.
May 24, 200619 yr Oilers survive a wild 3rd to win tonight, and take a commanding 3-0 lead. Looks like the #8 seed will be in the Finals.
May 29, 200619 yr That was a crazy OT period and I was only watching it through the game thread on the Canes board. Canes take a 3-2 lead and they head back to Buffalo for game 6. GO CANES!!!
