June 4, 200322 yr Sadly, it appears Miles is the only pos player who rates a call up and he plays a position that would not easily be vacated.
June 4, 200322 yr Author Nope, Yan needs to play AA before AAA in my honest opinion. Move Sandoval up to AAA.
June 4, 200322 yr Did anyone else notice that Ginter and Almonte got flip flopped? Ginter closed the game at AAA while Almonte set him up.
June 4, 200322 yr Author How goes it UNS, long time no chat buddy. I see Hummel at Kannapolis finally blew a save.
June 4, 200322 yr Author About time they moved Ginter to closer role and took the bum Almonte out, he has sucked all season, even when getting saves he was struggling.
June 4, 200322 yr About time they moved Ginter to closer role and took the bum Almonte out, he has sucked all season, even when getting saves he was struggling. Ginter should have been up here out of spring training with White getting his walking papers IMHO. I have said it all year and I haven't seen anything to change my mind.
June 4, 200322 yr Ginter should have been up here out of spring training with White getting his walking papers IMHO. I have said it all year and I haven't seen anything to change my mind. I unfortunately have to agree and I'm the biggest Ginter basher there is.
June 4, 200322 yr The other thing is how about Mike Porzio? Is this guy a classic AAAA guy or was he just misused out of the pen, and this organizations next Josh Fogg type, with no real great pitches, but gets people out?
June 4, 200322 yr He's trade bait IMO for someone looking for a lefty, maybe as part of a package as that's how it looks like we'll get any value back in the inevitable coming dumps.
June 4, 200322 yr Author Porzio is ok, but you have to realize we picked him up as a 6 year Minor League Free Agent, there is not a lot of people going crazy to pick him up. But he is serviceable and if someone needs a LH he could help.
June 4, 200322 yr MSF, if they did promote Miles, would you be in favor of them moving Yan to Char? In my mind that would be pushing it. There are still a lot of questions in regards to Yan's bat. Plus, their is more talent in AA so its a better league for him to be in anyway. AAA is typically filled with more of the "veteran" type players and a few prospects. Usually the best are in AA.
June 4, 200322 yr About time they moved Ginter to closer role and took the bum Almonte out, he has sucked all season, even when getting saves he was struggling. I think Ginter is going to put things together at the major leagues the next time he comes up. It wasn't too long ago that he flat out dominated as a starter. This guy has good stuff and seems to really of made great strides, especially with his command.
