Cotts and Politte.......

Featured Replies

Cotts ERA is now a very respectable 2.65 and Politte's has come down from the stratosphere to 5.65.

Its a REALLY encouraging sign to see these guys getting on track.

Woo hoo. I'm curious what makes a Hold? Cotts got one today, but Politte didnt? Right.

f*** yeah. I was getting a little worried there for a sec.

Cotts will be fine. I still worry about Politte, but he has been solid his last couple outings.

A Hold rewards a relief pitcher who preserves the lead by not allowing any runs (earned or unearned) and passes it on to another pitcher for a save opportunity.

Nice to see Garcia, Cotts, and Politte all pitch well. Garcia is the first Sox pitcher to 6 wins. Cotts and Politte both looked solid.

Yep, with Hermanson's future still up in the air, Nelson still an unknown, and Thornton and Logan not being the best choices in a tight game, we're counting on Cotts and Politte to step up big-time.

Cotts has continued to be solid, while Politte is finally getting his rhythm back...

Logan not the best choice in a tight game?!?!?!

HOW DARE YOU!!!

Dont you realize that Boone Logan is the Chuck Norris of the White Sox?!??!!?

He's going to find out who you are and where you live and when he does........he's gonna knock you into next week, then travel through time to next week and knock you back into this week.

Don't talk s*** about Boone Logan!!!

:cheers

What rudy said...I don't really even look at Cliffs ERA when its a tight ballgame, I still want him in there before Logan or Thornton. And speaking of guys coming around, I'm sorry but that curve that Bobby threw sunday night to end the game with a strikeout..good gawd.

I really have no doubts about Cotts. It's Politte I am worried about. It's gonna take more than a few strong outings to get me convinced he can still get it done because last year's 2 ERA was very well below his career era...

I think you have to come into the game in a save situation and leave with the lead stillfor it to count as a hold. With the Crede HR we went up 4 runs so Cliff came into a non save situation.
