I'm looking at the Panasonic SV-AV30...cos I'm a trendy bastard.

anyone have opinions about it?

4 in 1 camera with moderately decent picture resolutions. I'm a traveler, so this is a pretty versitile camera for documenting life.

thoughts are welcomed...

I traded off picture quality for the convienence of using floppy discs. I really like my Sony Mavica. I don't know of anyone that regrets going to digital photography. Even the serious photogs I know have a digital for snapshots. They will use film for work but grab a digital for the play at school etc.

WELL, son's ive used a digital camera, never owned one though :headbang

BE GOOD son's

My dad has a mavica and thats what i use when I need to take pictures. Its a pretty solid camera. I think Cannon is supposed to be one of the best.

I'm not an expert though. My favorite part about them is the zoom. I don't use the camera much, but when I go see the minor league teams I'm gonna bring it and really test it out, so I can tell ya more about them then.

I like how you can take so many pictures and not pay to develop them. I'm cheap like that. Still, if you want picture pictures, your best with a regular camera, imo.

My dad uses his camera for work (In real estate) so you can put pictures into flyers to spruce things up.

I guess I'm just impressed with the 4 in 1 technology. If I can get a digital microphone, then recording my live shows could be great.

my parents are going halfsies on the price with me. I'm stoked.

i dont get so high tech.. i have a cheesy little fujifilm fine pix a101... its a simple camera and takes the best pics i have seen thus far... my cousin has a high tech something or another and my pics come out ten times better than his all the time.... its not the high priced s*** that gets you results its the little cheesy things that will knock your socks off......i love my camera its small .. light weight.. and so easy to use... all i do is take the pics and hook the usb to the computer download and presto i have awesome pics in a matter of a few minutes.......dont always go for the most expensive and high tech... you would be surprised what the cheapy things are capable of......... :D
