May 25, 200619 yr This man is responsible for sooooo many great bands. Yes, he was Stewarts brother also. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Music/05/2...d.ap/index.html RIP Ian, and thanks for the great bands. Edited May 25, 200619 yr by Kid Gleason
May 25, 200619 yr Sad indeed. And I didn't know that another Copeland brother was the founder of IRS records. To me as a teenager at the time, that was like pre-indie indie, and led me to a lot of stuff I wasn't hearinng anywhere else.
May 25, 200619 yr Author When I first heard Ian had passed, I mixed him up with Miles. I was oddly enough most familiar with Miles, even more than I was Stewart. Miles was pretty much the man responsible for The Lords Of The New Church being around for so long, and they even gave him the vocal bit in one of their songs. Those three brothers were so dang valuable to the "underground" scene during the 80's it's almost impossible to think about. One of them found and managed, another signed, and the other influenced. Crazy.
