A bunch of us are going to the sox-reds trip in the middle of june, just wondering if anyone can give any advice on what hotel we should look into getting.

 

What's in walking distance to the park?

Brian and I stayed at the Holiday Inn that is a few minutes from the park (the hockey arena is right across the street). It is okay, nothing fabulous, but it got the job done.

I would wait until Jim gives you some tips. Being that I lived there I have no idea what hotels to stay in. JimH should know exactly where to stay.

We stayed there when we went down to see Bon Jovi. You describe it perfectly.

I stayed at a Crowne Plaza for like $75.00 a night and we were real close to the park from what I remember. I would recommend using Priceline, naming your own price and seeing what it gives you. The park is centrally located in the downtown area so as long as your in the vicinity of downtown you'll be very close.

Stay at the Travelodge right across the bridge on the Kentucky side. Cheap, clean, close. You can walk over the Ohio River bridge to the ballpark, it takes 5 minutes. In addition, you're walking distance to the riverfront entertainment area.
