June 3, 200619 yr I don't take hope in this. At the end of April, they had Schilling over Contreras? At this point, with the win difference, it's reasonable to conclude that, but at the end of April?! I do like the Thome trend, and that would be awesome to have another MVP on the Southside. As far as AL Rookie of the Year, it'd be a travesty if Papelbon didn't get it. That kid is a beast. I've got a friend who asks me to watch Red Sox games with her when they're on nationally, and I always get a kick out of watching Jonathan pitch.
