I don't take hope in this.

At the end of April, they had Schilling over Contreras? At this point, with the win difference, it's reasonable to conclude that, but at the end of April?!

I do like the Thome trend, and that would be awesome to have another MVP on the Southside.

As far as AL Rookie of the Year, it'd be a travesty if Papelbon didn't get it. That kid is a beast. I've got a friend who asks me to watch Red Sox games with her when they're on nationally, and I always get a kick out of watching Jonathan pitch.

Dude, it's a fan poll. It doesn't make a difference what fans think in terms of the end of the season awards; it's voted on by writers.

And just as you reasoned with Schilling over Count in April?!, Papelbon will have to keep up a similar pace through out Junel?!, Julyl?!, August?!, and September?!

Oh, I misread -- I thought it'd been a sportswriter polls.

Are you mocking me?! Boy, my feelings sure are hurt!

Only 89.7% picked Albert Pujols as NL MVP?

The other 10.3% had to be Cub fans.
