I just noticed that Dave Martinez is still around. He was one of my favirote players of the later 90's. He has had a decent career. 3 Martinez moments stand out in my mind.

 

1) Dave Martinez and Ryne Sandberg's wife had that 'fling' that resulted in Martinez being traded away from the cubs.

 

2) Dave Martinez took out Frank Thomas when the big hurt tried to fight Robin Ventura...Martinez taught the Frank that size cant get you past a blackbelt.

 

3) Dave Martinez and Lyle Mouton collide chasing for a fly ball. I was at the game, I think both went on the DL for at least a month.

it was Raphael Palmiero, not Dave Martinez. Martinez was with the Cubs after Ryne Sandberg. The Cubs traded away Palmiero and went with Mark Grace at first base.

Big Hurt and Rockin Robin got into it??? Never heard that. Have any details?

I am positive it was Martinez that collided with lyle, it was on mothers day against the A's

Did Ryno have a big time divorce that made all the papers? Seems like he did. I never heard that another player was in that cookie jar.

Here in Brazil, my soccer team had a story like this. The best player in my team was having a case with the wife of the other one. One day, they were fighting in clubhouse and the slut was in the middle getting his ass beat too. It was ugly!!!

 

I have other story, a head coach from my team was a f**. He loved get a look in the players taking a bath and the players were feeling a little bit angry. After all, the coach was fired. It happened 7 years ago.
