Hummel and Rowand with two errors a piece, ugly.

No boxes for W-S or Kanny yet. Kanny lost first game of DH 2-1.

W-S is the only team with a chance to win the first half title, which is why you haven't seen some guys promoted, most likely. The Warthogs have been so terrible the past few years, the Sox owe them one. I wouldn't be surprised to see some changes after the first half, however.

You would think Reed, Yan and possibly Wing would all get serious consideration for promotion. Honel would likely come later in the season.

I'm wondering if Rowand's weren't on the same play? A muff in the field followed by a bad throw trying to make up for it?? It happens, sometimes.

Same could have happened with Hummel at 3rd. Bobbles a grounder then airmails it over 1st.

did Ginter pitch that badly? It looks like he gave up 2 unearned runs in a game where Char made 4 errors... And incidentally WTF was Rowand doing? 2 errors?

No boxes yet, but Kanny lost 2-1 and won 3-2.

Thanks for the boxes guys, my favorite part of following baseball, minor league boxscores and projections.

Still no boxes, but Win-Sal won 8-2 in game one, rained out in 2nd. Was to be Wing and Honel, so I assume Wing pitched the winner.

Kannapolis lost 2-1 but won 3-2 in next game, so 2 well pitched games.

i got to see yofu get his loss.. hes a pretty good pitcher despite that though......hey rex as you and i talked about my new boy to follow.. i think im gonna stick with him i like what i see in his offense abilities....his defensive skills are not to shabby.. he sure was hitting the heck out of the ball on saturday......i got to see 3 out of the 4 games....rained on friday and a double header on saturday and i got 1 game in on sunday... 1 win and 2 losses.....oh well.. they looked pretty good all in all.... glad to see chad woke up ... he wasnt playin too bad......

Gots to be Ryan.

yeah i think hes my new boy to follow.... like what i saw of him.......... :D

Gots to be Ryan.

I like Hankins as a player, but I fear he is the kind of guy that will always get passed up by guys with better "tools" or "bigger bonuses". His skills are marginal for a corner infielder. He doesn't have much power and although his defense is solid, it is not Gold Glove caliber to boost his worth.

He will be a guy that will have to outperform others to get the same chances. Remember guys like Jeff Abbott, Jeff Inglin, and Mario Valdez (just to name a few) were great Minor League hitters too.

I'm rooting for him as well. Just skeptical on how realistic his chances are.

Hell it has been rainy as hell in Birmingham too. May was the 3rd wettest month EVER in Birmingham. Almost 20 inches of rain in the first 23 days of the month. Then it went dry, only to come back at the beginning of June.
