    DirecTV also has receivers with built-in DVR systems available. You pay the fee to DirecTV instead of Tivo. They used to have an actual working agreement to market Tivo through their system, then they came out with their own DVR system.

    We got a DVR and I expected to be watching all the shows I always missed once I got it.

     

    I watch even less TV now for some reason and never use it.
