Birthplace: The City of Angels, Cali

College: Chaffey Junior College

Bats and Throws RH

Draft: 11th round pick (335th overall) by Chicago White Sox in June, 2005 Amateur Draft

2006 at Kanny: 1-6, 6 saves, 3.72 ERA, 44 games (9 starts), 94.1 IP, 61 hits, 46 runs (39 earned), 7 home runs, 65 BB, 107 k's, .184 opp BA

2005 at Bristol: 3-2, 4.70 ERA, 18 games (7 starts), 44 IP, 40 hits, 23 runs (23 earned), 2 HR, 25 BB, 40 k's

His numbers at Kanny are pretty ridiculous.....107 k's, .184 opponent ba, and 61 hits in 94.1 IP is DOMINANT, but 65 walks, so Jason needs to throw more strikes. Only 20 years old though, so Rice is a pretty decent prospect IMO, just needs to get the ball over the plate.

Get this man some control and we have a real legit prospect here. K rates are delightful.

What kind of stuff does he have though? What does his fastball hit normally?

This is the part where I wait for one of the futuresox hierarchy to rescue me and tell us.

I will say this though: With those splits, he obviously throws some nasty ass s*** with a lot of movement and velocity.
