How's your Fantasy Football team look

Featured Replies

I had the 10th pick this year out of 12 teams. I'm relatively happy with my team. I wanted Kevin Jones and was able to snag him with the 34th pick. I didn't think he'd get back to me, but I had to take Palmer with my 2nd pick. I'm hoping Jones becomes a stud in Martz's offense.

dont know why you have two TEs and Ks, also chris perry is on the PUP so that was a wasted early pick but overall not too bad it is hard to comment without knowing who was available in the later rounds when you took some of these guys as well

I have two TE's and two kickers cause there are bye weeks and you need backups. Chris Perry was named to the PUP after our draft, but 106 isn't really an early pick. At that point all the RB's left are backups. Either way, I'm weighing dropping him and getting Stephen Davis who was just put on waivers.

Snb took D.Davis in the 3rd round of our draft. Last week. :)

Our draft was Friday night. He was put on IR Saturday. Kick in the nuts for the guy that took him.

Yep. All information about his knee was bad, and readily available for a while now. I only would have taken him as a late-round gamble, but he usually went way higher than I would have taken him in earlier drafts.

i have never been a big proponent of grabbing two kickers or tight ends when you can grab sleepers for the beginning of the year especially since there is usually decent guys available on bye weeks you can get with some underperforming guy later on

Agree on this. With Westbrook already hurting, for example, an Eagles backup rb seems more useful than a guy like Wiggins. If the bye week comes and nothing's changed, you can drop him then for someone as good as Wiggins. But if Westbrook goes down, you could have something really useful. Or a Morency, in case Lundy falls flat. Go boom or bust instead of mediocre bye weekers.

that's what I get for really not paying attention to the NFL in the offseason.

oh well

You guys convinced me. I have always liked to grab my complete team on draft day. That includes players for the bye weeks, but I think I might have to change it up. What you guys are saying makes sense, especially since I like to find that diamond of the draft that nobody else likes.

heres the team i drafted last night in a 10 tem league i waited until i had a filled a few bench spots before even grabbing a TE or DEF and took my K in the last round like always:

INDY BEARS (0-0)

RB LaMont Jordan, Oak RB

RB/WR Brian Westbrook, Phi RB

RB/WR Thomas Jones, Chi RB

WR Chris Chambers, Mia WR

WR Anquan Boldin, Ari WR

TE L.J. Smith, Phi TE

D/ST Seahawks D/ST, Sea D/ST

IMO there's 4 TE's worth taking early. Gates, Gonzo, Shockey and Heap. When you're playing a team that has one of those 4 it helps to have one as well. When you're playing a team without one of the big dogs...those are just extra points in the bag. Now if the big dogs are gone....then I would wait till prolly 7th or 8th round before grabbing one.

Being in a 14 team league really made my draft difficult.

Also didnt help I had the 11th pick:

1. (11) E. James RB

2. (18) W. McGahee RB

3. (39) D. Jackson WR

4. (46) M. Bulger QB

5. (67) J. Lewis RB

6. (74) L. Evans WR

7. (95) L. Coles WR

8. (102) K. Warner QB

9. (123) Baltimore DEF

10. (130) S. Graham K

11. (151) Ma. Clayton WR

12. (158) D. Givens WR

13. (179) K. Winslow TE

14. (186) M. Turner RB

15. (207) C. Frye QB

16. (214) C. Rogers WR

17. (235) B. Franks TE

I dropped Franks and picked up Lundy already.

Since it seems to be the thing to do...

Yahoo standard scoring (no ppr), 10 teams, 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def.

1. (7) T. Barber RB

2. (14) L. Fitzgerald WR

3. (27) B. Westbrook RB

4. (34) M. Hasselbeck QB

5. (47) A. Johnson WR

6. (54) R. Droughns RB

7. (67) T. Heap TE

8. (74) L. Coles WR

9. (87) Ma. Jones WR

10. (94) W. Lundy RB

11. (107) D. Brees QB

12. (114) Atlanta DEF

13. (127) L. White RB

14. (134) D. Gabriel WR

15. (147) N. Kaeding K

Thoughts welcome.

Not to mention getting Droughns in the 6th is outstanding value.

Stupid Dolphins defense was a no show last night.
