ILoveThisGAme
I was watching the game last night and heard Hawk say that the 2006 Chicago Whitesox cannot come back when trailing in the later innings. I think the thing that bothers me the most is that the first half of the season we had so many come from behind victories that put smiles on all of our faces!!! What the hell has happened to this team?? Jim Thome strikes out everytime he comes to the plate! Paul Konerko and his 12 million dollars has over 22 ground ball double plays, Scotty Poostink has been caught stealing 20 times and cannot leadoff, Jermaine Dye throwing flat footed to the plate, Rob Mackowiak looks like a minor leaguer, terrified in the late innings, etc. etc. Is it me or do the umpires have a different strikezone for our pitchers compared to the opposing team. A question for all of you, what is the most disappointing factor to this season? 1) Being 21 games over .500 and 2 games out of the wildcard and 4 out of the division. 2) Ozzie's managing of his pitchers and bullpen. 3) Jim Thome's terrible second half and Frank's great second half. 4) Sox making no moves to their offense at the trade deadline. Felix
QUOTE(ILoveThisGame @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) 3) Jim Thome's terrible second half and Frank's great second half. Yes, Thome's post-ASB numbers of .280/.412/.516 have been HORRIBLE. That f***er sucks! QUOTE(ILoveThisGame @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) 4) Sox making no moves to their offense at the trade deadline. Genius, lets blame the second best offense in baseball!
MSHAWKS
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 10:34 AM) IT'S NOT THE OFFENSE, PEOPLE! In the second half, the offense is 8th in the AL in runs scored. So, yes, it is partly the offense. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 10:39 AM) Genius, lets blame the second best offense in baseball! Well, we can at least blame their inconsistancy.
