Well, if you and your bo have plans to make a quiche and go to Yoga class, I'd hate baseball to interfere. Real men don't do yoga, we're too macho.

September 25, 200619 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 25, 2006 -> 04:14 PM) No. I don't want to be in Minnesota when they clinch their playoff spot. The other side of the coin on that is, having the team go through that particular bit of humiliation and the meaninglessness of the final series in Minny (regardless of when they clinch) might inspire them to make sure they don't put themselves in the same position again next year. I'm looking for potential positives in the strangest of places at this stage.
September 25, 200619 yr I'd rather see KC sweep the Twins so we don't have to deal with that pesky tiebreaker.

Well, we know how they came out in '05 from the gate, whether that has anything to do with it. It'll happen when it happens and if the Sox are on the field to see it, it can only serve to light a fire in them for next year.

They moved up to second the next year and then proceeded to win 3 division titles in a row. The Sox clinched on the Tigers home field last year. Look what happened...
