Official Arizona Fall League thread

Owens doesn't have an at-bat for some reason. Day pitching well, Whisler doing alright, Russell and Malone getting rocked. Gonzalez and Cook struggling at the plate. Kind of sucks they didn't send Lance, I was looking forward to see how he would do. White Sox don't have any premium prospects in the league, Owens is probably the best one there.

Lance threw a lot of innings so it made sense to give him an entire off-season. Whisler on the other hand missed some time with injuries and finally appeared to get healthy so it will be interesting to see how he does in the fall league (he needs the innings).

Gonzalez and Cook are non prospects as is Malone and well Day may be solid but I refuse to call him a top prospect. Basically we sent Whis/Russ/Day and a couple scrubs to the AFL as opposed to some more highly touted players (not that we have many).

It made sense not to send Lance, but he was the guy I wanted to see. It's pretty rare for teams to send their top pitching prospects unless they had injuries or were holdouts (Hochevar). I know the Dodgers were gonna send Elbert but ended up pulling him.

Been to a few Fall League games this year and Arizona and Chi Sox's are same team (Scottsdale) So I have seen a little of some of the Sox's prospects. Owens has been left out it seems because AZ's Mark Reynolds is hitting the cover off the ball so it is hard to take him out of the lineup. Adam Russell has had it rough out here and If I remember right Whisler been doing good. Gonzalez committed two very critical errors the other day allowing 6 unearned runs to score both on routine plays.

One guy I would have liked to have seen but understand the rest....Eggy.

I think our prospects from High A on down are pretty much worthless.

Baseball America doesn't like our guys at all.
